Life Transitions

Life can be hard, right?

There's a reason the term “adulting” has become so popular: It helps us feel less alone.

In my work with clients, I'll often empathize with how hard adulting really is. It's more than just remembering to pay the bills or getting all of your chores done. There's always something new to navigate:

  • trying to get pregnant

  • surviving the holidays

  • getting engaged

  • wedding planning

  • moving to a new place

  • living with someone new

  • leaving/starting a job

  • graduating from school

  • starting school

  • break-ups

  • new relationships

  • stressful family dynamics

  • friendship drama

  • death/loss of a loved one (pets are the hardest!)

So much!

Oh, and let's not forget COVID and its impact over the past few years.

Here's the good news:

You don't need to be alone for any of this.

I'm not here to tell you what to do. I'm here to help make these stressful times feel less overwhelming and a lot more doable. (And if humor helps, bring it on!)

Ready to learn how to manage your anxiety and streamline the chaos in your brain? Let’s do it together.
Want to feel heard (as in, really listened to, without judgment)? I'm here to help.

What "counts" as a life transition?

A life transition is a period in your life where there is change. This might be a sudden and surprising shift from what your “normal” has been, or it might be something you've been planning for a while. Whatever the circumstances, a life transition has an impact on your life and, usually, there's an adjustment period.

All of the situations and events mentioned above are examples of life transitions, but the list doesn't end there! No matter what you're currently dealing with, therapy can help you navigate it with greater ease.
